Anybody have any at hand links to studies that a high protein diet doesn't negatively effect a normal kidney?

I'm having a debate with a guy on another forum and need some studies to back me up.

Like a website that makes money off of protein suppliments is going to allow something negative to be put on their website? I'd try to find a little less biased source (perhaps a regular doctor).

if it was just the authors thoughts, I'd agree. But the studies he referenced make me tend to believe it.

Then I would actually read some of the studies. You can support any viewpoint with out-of-context research (or poor research). I'm not saying he did that, but don't believe something because it can make reference to some academy.
