PSN will now update on Tuesdays instead of Thursdays...
Eat that MS
They'll probably update on Mondays now
Then Sony will update on Sundays and then the universe will implode as updating for the week before said week starts is like dividing by zero.
@ kevin butler reference
Great now eliminate the red tape for patches and updates
I doubt they will ever do this because it'd leave them liable. All 3 Console companies are very keen on image and what the end user sees, experiences. So I doubt they will ever change that 2 week process that they go through. Plus studios have to pay them for the service and pay fines if something fails. Computers game companies have their own standards, usually, but there is nothing out there stopping them from releasing a bug filled game lol.
could be worse, it could be like M$'s process which takes forever to pass anything
Sony's patch approval process is notoriously longer than M$'s
Most of the time games dont appear on PS3 til weeks later anyway haha. I usually prefer to get them on PS3 if I can, and I find myself waiting all the time even when shits right in front of me on xbox
not true. look at mw2 patches for example, 360 owners had to wait like 2 weeks while ps3 owners had it like 2 days after they said it was in certification
I feel indifferent about this news.
So fucking stupid. Why not just put them up when they are available Or does the internet not work like that anymore
OH SORRY NO NEW TOPICS ON OT UNTIL EVERY TUESDAY
welcome to video game online stores now. they all do this now
It might actually be a good idea for OT though. Might prompt people to try to post quality topics
Video games and DVDs and music comes out on Tuesdays...?
But that's so they can ship everything at once.
What the excuse for digital things? In fact, it would make more sense to spread digital things out to avoid crashing a server or whatever.
I think it's so it looks like more content is coming out and probably a lot easier to track everything when it all comes out at the same time every week.
You know, NPD numbers and such.
