sweet, i'll buy one when i can put emulators on it.
So GTMobile is still alive also explains the lack of PSOne games in the PSN Store
Hmm...so if they're ditching UMD, does that mean any previous PSP games owned won't be playable? Or will they make some way to rip the games you have? Seems really odd..only 16gb too...with most games coming in at 700-1.5GB each that really limits what you'll be able to have and rely on some other form of storage once you buy more than it holds. Sounds cool I guess, definitely looking forward to hearing more...the idea seems a little bit flawed so far.
ill be interested if they change the damn d pad
seems like a good idea. let's let them rip the games onto a hard drive and let them play without the disk people will never think to abuse this.
16GB is awfully small....
i want UMD drives for PCs
So...will it play old psp games or not?
I'm thinking of buying a psp, I really want to play Final Fantasy 1 on it, and maybe a few others I suppose.
no... it isn't... you can fit like 4 ISOs on a 4gb stick... possibly more if it is one of those smaller games like LocoRoco....
So basically you can only have 16 games on your new PSP. After that you get the fun of swapping games on and off the device. And that's even if Sony allows the game files to be stored on storage devices (and not just redownloaded through their store).
your point being? Now you don't have to carry around 16 umds... I've had my PSP since like launch and I only have 3 games... Also I don't see why they won't let you save on to another medium because thats the way you got games on to your PSP in the first place when there wasn't a PSN store for it.
Doesn't seem to have said yet if the new games will work on the old psp's and what will happen to the UMD's! Please keep us updated!
i don't think it's going to called "psp go"
i think a name like "Strider" might be more interesting.
posting in a Rivers thread
still waiting for psp with gps
Ha really? Thats like, the last thing I would ever think to use a PSP for.
Adding something like that is dangerously close to being ultra-gay like the...oh what was it called... the N-Gauge or something? That cell phone that was also a game system... I feel sad for the creators of that thing, they must've thought that was a really good idea.
whats wrong with new games? they'll probably be out just like the current games... and old umds will be converted to the same.
i would pay $200 for this if all they did was add a second fucking analog stick
imagine if it were like this... cause I think I heard they said it was gonna be a slider...
