I had an appointment for a haircut today (that I had to make a month in advance ) and I get a call from my stylist's receptionist telling me that if I still want it done today they're gonna have to move me back an hour from 6:45 to 7:45. Ok, the problem with that is that I have to drive an hour to get there and an hour back...so by the time he finished cutting my hair, it'd be almost 9...and I'd get home around 10. That's a problem because I'm supposed to meet up with my friends in SF tonight and if I kept my appointment I'd get into the city probably past 11...which doesn't leave much time to drink I ask if the receptionist if there's any way that I could keep my appointment as scheduled because I have someplace to be and that's already cutting it close. He puts my stylist on and I can tell he's stressed. He says he'll try, but no promises and that he's already staying late to cut my hair. I'm not about to drive 2 hours roundtrip to pay $50 to get my haircut and be late for my shit tonight, so I just say fuck it and go to some local place and pay $20 to get it cut instead. I dunno if I'll go back to my stylist again unless I have an event that I have to look great for. He cut my hair the best of anyone I've ever been to, but driving, the price and having to schedule around him like that isn't worth it Cliffs: stressed homo stylist was running late and in order to keep my appointment I'd have to be late for my outing tonight.
