FIT Quick diet question

I'm 6'0" and 165lbs, about 18%BF. I consider myself skinnyfat, I'm tall and pretty thin but I have a little bit of gut, love handles, etc. I want to gain muscle mass yet decrease this BF percentage. Should my eat to bulk or cut at this point? :sadwavey: *Flame suit on* :noes:

take advantage of the newbie gains and bulk for a few months, then cut down to desired body fat, then slowly begin bulking back up

how long have you been working out?

Off and on for 2-3 months, my work schedule has been flopping black and forth (paramedic) and I've been trying to take on too many things (weights, running, Crossfit, swimming). Trying to find the optimum balance.
