+1 for S&W, easily the best gun company in the world.
esp when they signed that agreement with the clintons
Good for S&W, they really need to step up their game with marketing to the leo market.
The fuck? I've seen exactly one RPD officer with a Smith. I see a shitload more Glocks.
I'd take one of those 4566s they are getting rid of.
If they go to local shops, I'll PM you.
British hippie deals aside, S&W has gotten back to their old awesome customer service self...but gun manufacturers do this all the time, why is it news for RPD? They're not "free", they're turning in their old guns, which S&W will sell in Chophandistan for $400 each.
This is the single pro police article the Nuisance and Disturber runs every other year or so.
Well fuck I'd rather have the 4566 then the m&p
I'm sure you meant this.
New ownership since then bro.
Fuck that G20 crew.
Can't wait until those metal .45 hit the used market.
My department doesn't issue weapons, you have to buy your own. The only weapon they issue is a S&W AR for rifle qualified officers.
Do they have a guideline on what kind of gun to get or is it just free for all ?
Not a fan of the M & P
Guidelines, they are:
Heckler & Koch
Smith & Wesson
Traditional double to single action
Double action only
Caliber: 9mm, 40cal., 45cal.
Barrel Length: At least 3.5 inches and not to exceed 6 inches
Grips: Hi-impact plastic or rubber, black in color, or wood, designed to be used with either hand.
You could run an open gun!
Steyr is actually on your department approved list?
I have no idea why, especially considering companies like CZ and Kahr aren't.
