This weekend I participated in an SCCA rally event in which people from as far as North Carolina drove down to compete in. There is no adrenaline rush in the world like rally racing going 70mph offroad in heavy rain with zero visibility on a combination of gravel, dirt, sand, and mud and then left foot braking around a sweeping corner until you reach a hairpin turn where you pull the handbreak and flick the wheel to swing your rear end around the corner and then accelerating hard while struggling to just go in a straight line with ZERO traction. Autocross, drag racing, drifting, offroading, and anything else you can do with a car simply can't even compare to what you experience during a rally. All the shit you see in movies and want to try on the street but know you really shouldn't, I got to do... it was awesome . I felt like Petter Solberg out there. PICS from yesterday: *before* *after* Some pics: (yes... that is a mustang and a S2000, and needless to say they both couldn't even complete the stages) There was one guy in a brand new yellow Evo and he was trying to show off and lost control and went through a metal fence totally ****ing up his car, he hadn't even made 1 payment on the car yet . Sucks for him. I can't even begin to explain how much fun I had.
