well i got my comp with a formatted hd. i installed winxp and like the second time i rebooted it, it gave me the winxp blue screen. i tried reinstalling and formatting but wouldn't work. always gave me that blue screen. i called them up, they told me to remove the ram and put it back. i did this 4 times and stilil the same problem. the comp won't start up any way, with or without the cd. so then when i called them for the 2nd time, they told me the kingston 512mb ddr pc3200 ram is defective and i'm not the only one that has this problem. so they'll send me another one. i just wanna know if this is because of the ram or they are just telling me this to waste time thx in advance

Its possible its your ram. If it you formatted, and reinstalled and it still does that, than it sure could be your ram.
