Say I work out my chest/triceps on Sunday, my back/biceps on Tuesday, and shoulders/legs on Thursday. On Wednesday, long after my triceps and chest lost their soreness, would it be beneficial to do a few sets of pushups until failure? Then, say on Friday, after my biceps and back muscles aren't sore, I go outside and do 4 or 5 sets of pullups until failure. I was watching some youtube videos about Gerard Butler (Leonidas from 300), and he was explaining how he would do pushups between each set. I do not know how much is too much, which is why I'm asking you guys! Thanks!
