Did the study mention transfats?
but the corn industry says it's natural and just fine bro
its practically like eating vegtables
4-5 servings of veggies a day.
hey i know the girl in the front of that picture
No since transfats are like arsenic the university couldn't get clearance from the gov't to obtain and use them in the study...
What about the rats that were given beer in the control group?
HFCS was introduced in 1972 by Nixon to try and stabalize the food economy. They actually were poisening people and caused the obesity rate to skyrocket 25 years later.
hfcs isnt that bad if you take it with some metamucil mixed in
EDIT: GOD DAMN IT I WAS LATE
It's still processed like alcohol in the body. It's a toxin. Fiber will help and that is why there if fiber naturally with all natural form of fructose. However, if you read the labels at your local walmart, HFCS is in everything and there is no fiber included.
Yeah I mean, if you eat corn and then take a shit, you will clearly notice that your body cannot fully process it.
Has anyone wondered why we use high fructose corn syrup instead of cane sugar? It should seem strange to most of you that instead of extracting sugar from sugar cane, farmers instead grow corn for chemists to modify enzymatically. Shouldn't it be easier and cheaper to just grow sugar cane and eliminate the chemists? HFCS is so prevalent because of the economic subsidies the federal government gives to corn farmers. These subsidies lower the cost of corn and correspondingly HFCS. Without the subsidy, it would be cheaper to use regular sugar. The corn subsidy causes a cascade of effects in the agricultural industry. Cheap HFCS makes junk foods like donuts, cupcakes, and oreos cheaper to produce. Also, since most cows are fed corn, the cost of red meat is also reduced. It seems like the corn subsides make us less healthy overall.
apples and oranges man. that has to do with the hull of the kernal.
no, it's not cheaper. Everything comes down to money and efficiency and corn is much more efficient and accessible.
how in the fuckin world can you be so anti fat then say hfcs is ok you have to be the best troll ever
well it comes from corn, i saw how they made it on history channel... the problem is hfcs strips away fiber in the process.... add metamucil or some fiber supp like phsyllum husks and its not as bad.... at that if you do a lot of cardio to burn it off. but if your a couch potato .... forget it
im anti synthetic fat. (trans)
im avoid-but-you-wont-die of animal saturated fat.
im pro mct, long chain fats, and unprocessed unsat fats.
best move to a country where the only hfcs is bought like golden syrup, not in every sweet product on the shelf
It's more so that corn is subsidized a ton.
Gotta love those bootstrappy farmers relying on government subsidies that stifle free market competition.
Not to mention that sugar cane even taste better in all these junk foods
Have you ever tried a real Pepsi or Coke? Tastes much better than the one they make in America
