Which one would you get and why?
1000rr. The Rc51 is a twin motor, red lines around 9K or so. Thats why I don't like the RC51.
Umm ok, whats wrong with that?? The fact that its a twin?
I would ride both and see which you like better.
i would guess that the rc51 has more torque.. i would get that..
The RC has a more linear torque band. So as the RPMs increase, the power is smooth. It doesn't suddenly jump ahead when it reaches a certain RPM point, like the I4s do.
I'd take the RR though, because I've always owned vtwins and I'd like the smoothness of the I4. Vtwins have more vibrations.
i havent rode either, but i went from an I4 to a V-twin and i like the twin so much more than a 4...
That's what i hear from everyone whose made the switch. This Sept, my f4i is being turned into my track bike, and I'm torn between the two. Guess I'll just sit and decide when the time comes.
The bike was a built as a track bike and was sold to the public as a bike thats track ready out of the box. You have to sacrifice some things to get others. Depending on what you are trying to do with the bike (more track days than driving to and from work) is an important factor in choosing which model to get. My friend owned a 51 and said it was badass. But his biggest complaint was the fact the radiators are right by your legs and in traffic it sucks. Both are bad ass bikes though. If you are doing more just around town stuff with an occassional track day or long weekend riding then go with the RR. Personally Im a fan of the twins as I have a Superhawk, so I would go with a 51.
I'd probably get the RR... The amount of technology in that bike is amazing.
But I like twins...
on the street torque > High RPM HP
Plus the RC is a wheelie monster
1000rr.... cuz it looks better to me
I'd go for the RC51. I'm a sucker for the throaty growl of a twin, although I've never owned a twin before.
I belive the questions was which one would you get and why. SO yes the fact that its a twin I don't want it. Friend of mine that we ride with every week rides one and I just don't like it.
For about 2 seconds before you have to shift.
