needs to fit what I have now....

T1i
canon 24-70 w/hood
canon 70-200 f4 w/hood
canon 85
tokina 12-24 w/hood

The only thing I plan on adding is a sigma 30 and flash.

I just got a bag which stated that it holds a dslr and 4-5 lenses but it's way too small. I prefer a backpack but a shoulder bag will do.

I have a Tamrac Expedition 7x that I use as a "must carry everything" bag. My light carry bags are either a Lowepro Slingshot 200 or a Tenba messenger.

Yep. Big enough for 2 D700 bodies, an 80-200, 24-70, 16-35, 85, 50, 35, 28, 2 SB800s, a Skyport pack, a 15" laptop, dozens of cards, straps, plates, accessories, etc. I've had the thing loaded up with nearly 50 lbs of gear before. It's not comfortable to hold for a long time, but if you need to get all of your shit from point-A to point-B and have it fit in carryon, it's not a bad way to go.

I had a Lowepro flipside 200 and now have the 400.

One thing I can say now is that I would much rather carry a huge bag with a few empty compartments than a smaller bag that I just can't fit stuff in.

It's VERY annoying trying to cram everything you might need for a shoot in a bag then having to sort through the clutter, dropping things, balancing lenses on parts of your bag, body or surroundings to change lenses, filters, flash heads etc etc...

GO BIG!

Baz.

I'm a crumpler fan boy so all I can recommend are their bags. Depends on which style you like, messenger bag or backpack. I recommend their backpacks for actual travel, messenger bags for more casual gigs/shoots.

My shoulder bag was useless when it came to long walks, the rolling one was too big:

BTW, the 400 is still too small...
