what are the best (cheapest) ways to register a domain, without entering all your real, personal info?

i guess you can pay extra for a private listing with the registrar...anything else?

I got mine through godaddy. I forget what it cost a year. I want to say twenty something dollars on top of registrar fees.

    i will check them out.

also, if i have owned a domain for a year, and had my real info in it...and implement whoisguard now...is there still a way for people to find out my info? i.e. google's cached pages, or other?

Not true. Someone once grabbed some dated info from one of my domains. Not sure how you do it, but I'm pretty sure it's possible.
