This is the latest in sexy.
My vote on space gun
Yeah just a modular side folding stock remington 700 with detachable magazines. Oh did I mention it takes AR-15 grips and stocks. Was used to win the last International Sniper Competition Match. I bet you think the Saleen S7 is hideous too.
A few of the better pics I've come across:
For most people
Looks > Function.
Unfortunate but true.
So sexy. I can't wait to shoot mine!
Nice. When you're at the range you could keep getting asked "Is that an awp?"
Since we're on the subject of 700's, how easy/expensive is it to have the receiver accept detachable mags? That was what I originally wanted, but couldn't pass up the deal I got on mine (over $100 less than MSRP back in Feb). I have a SPS Tactical with a hinged floorplate
i love that picture, kinda like the river of guns one
There was some discussion about this in DrewDown's 700 build thread. I don't think any dollar figures were mentioned, but there are some links. Bottom of page 1 and on page 2:
Anyone know who makes that stock pouch?
Was just getting ready to ask this...
Looks like the Blackhawk one...
It is actually made by Eagle Industries.
Just out of curiosity, what makes the 700 more desirable over another bolt gun? I have been looking at a new bolt action, and from what i have handled...a 700 wouldn't have been my choice. Just wondering why its so popular.
It's a a design that's been around long enough that everyone knows how to work on it and tweak it for great accuracy. There's so much aftermarket support for it that you can easily build a rifle to do what you want.
It's like the smallblock Chevy of the gun world.
Its like the 10/22 of 22lr rifles
It's like the 1911 of handguns
