How do I rename files in OSX from terminal?
the rename command doesnt work. If that is a command.
i beleive you have to use the mv command (since it's bsd/unix based)
mv(1) is correct.
You could set up an alias if you *must* have a 'rename' command.
how do alias work?
put that into the rc scripts for your shell.
