So I somehow managed to slit the cable on my Macbook Pro charger and it stopped working. Simply pushing it together doesn't do anything, I can't figure out why but the ends aren't lining up.

I'm wondering if anyone has ever repair a cut charger or has bought a replacement one from eBay or a 3rd party. Apple's are really expensive and I'd rather not spend $80+ on one, are the eBay ones any good?

I searched but didn't find much :wavey:

third party power adapters are typically shitty. i used to have some for ibooks which were fine, but now they're using really cheap plastic. ive seen a lot of third party adapters crap the bed. and believe me when i say i've seen a lot. try to find a used apple one instead
