This is what I like about MMA and how internet focused it is, the name and shame is so so public.
Jesus Christ, this guy has the worst fucking luck on earth.
what forum is that from?
it's like timmy's life but on a larger scale
i never really liked Pavia myself from interviews. Monte Cox, however, seems like he truly cares about his fighters and about the sport
Bitch tits is Joe's manager? Jesus he gets around.
monte cox always seems very cool.. hes a slob but i think he cares about his fighters for the most part and i think he still does verbal contracts.. as for pavia and mma agents.. dont know how i feel about them.. but feel terrible for riggs.. hes like a 90 yr old stuck in a 24 yr olds body with everything thats happened to him
I was wondering when this was going to come up
haha can't help it..
soo whats the back story on this?
apparently he had no written contract with said agent and was only involved with him because he had a friend that worked for the same company. The freind no longer worked with the company but he still did business with said manager. The manager said that he had something in the works or there was some issue with strike force and it was a lie.
Riggs had sponsors from before he was associated with said manager and the manager then took all of his sponsorship money telling the sponsor that riggs owed him the money for services rendered. Riggs then contends that there was no service and he had no written contract with said a hole.
yeah but hes not going to sue his sponsors, they have been with him for ever and have stood behind him for a long time. They know who they need to send the money to now and thats all that really matters as far as they go. From what I seen thinks are handled pretty informaly with that kind of stuff and mma because every one knows each other.
He has probably known the sponsors for a long time and the sponsors know him and that he is riggs manager so they probably just assumed because everthing is handled so informaly that it was ok to send the cash to his manager.
