This is what's going on in the rifle forum on THR.
I shot this yesterday and will go again today.
CZ 452 Lux
Bench with front rest
Outdoors, 4mph winds, 78 degrees
If friday is sunny here, I will take half a day off work and do this. Prepare to be amazed.
Sunny in Seattle? Yeah right. jk
I lived on Bainbridge for a year back in 2003-2004.
Oh, so in for this. I haven't even sighted in my 10/22 yet. Have to hit the range this week.
In for this.
sofaking in on this! What are the black squares on the bottom row for?
I guess it's to help you locate the dot. You can hardly make it out with irons @ 25 yards. My bottom row shots were guesstimates.
In for 3 weeks later.... LSAT weekend then Racing weekend then firearm weekend
I'll give this one a shot. :rimshot:
If it clears up this week, it's on. I'll print off like 50 copies though.
when i rebuild my 10/22 i'll do this
shit i need to find a 50 yard range
Just to clarify, is this supposed to be printed on standard 8.5x11 paper?
It was mentioned here.
Interesting. I'll dust off the 10/22 and give this a try next weekend.
Went again today and didnt do any better. There were a few easy ones that I missed which is disappointing. Might go again tomorrow.
I was shocked and appalled until I looked at your location
Field Sports Park in San Jose.
Los Altos Rod and Gun Club
Sunnyvale Rod and Gun Club
looks like a good target. I'll give it a try.
Actually in So Cal we have lots of long distance ranges. Several have rifle out to 400-600, one has rifle out past 1000, and all have pistol berms that are over 50 if not 75. I would say if I want to take my rifle past 400 I have 7 ranges within one hour. Northern CA seems to have less long range shooting for whatever reason.
True. Longest range I know of is 200 yards.
Ugh. Turns out the range that I want to go to opens up 1 hour before I have to be at work. I'm gonna try rearranging my schedule.
sacvalley has a 300 yard range, and they go out to 1000 for the high power compeitions
