Are these rounds corrosive?
Any surplus from that area of the world is corrosive, even stuff produced into the late 90's.
Most Berdan primer is corrosive.
Thanks for the replies gents.
almost all surplus 7.62x25 is corrosive. It's not that hard do clean, but you do need to do it, and not let it sit. I think it worsened some pitting in my Cz. 52. Also, I got a few light primer strikes with this stuff as I think the primers are kinda hard. Good deal though. This same can used to be $139
So what about wolf stuff, it's berdan primed right?
Commercial berdan is noncorrosive, but any type of berdan milsurp from eastern bloc countries is corrosive.
The corrosive primers are more stable and reliable in extreame cold weather. That's the reason it's used for comblock military ammo.
i usually shoot remington .223, is that noncorrosive ?
also have used prvi .. i'm assuming that is corrosive, correct?
New Prvi no, and Remington of course its not
I think the Romanian is more for pistols than SMGs. I know some of the Bulgarian (I think?) is pretty hot.
