I've never actually seen the fight, does anybody have the vid?
Against Sakuraba or Harold Howard. If it's the latter, then there really isn't much of a video.
vs kazushi sakuraba, great fight
The one where he was getting choked out, ref stopped the fight because they thought he was out, but then he jumped right back up the second he was let go.
The one against Yoshida.
His first encounter with Yoshida. Supposedly Yoshida told the ref that Royce was out.
Here ya go - http://youtube.com/watch?v=d2cQoMwPGWo&search=yoshida royce
Watching this vid just makes me cry.
He should of taken off that stupid GI.
What about the "towel thrown" where it says he lost in the first round with 0:00. How was that possible?
He'd fought a couple times already that night...he was too fatigued to continue so his corner threw the towel...being a tournament, a winner was required so it was counted as a loss for Royce instead of a no contest.
wtf, it looked like Sakaraba tapped?
they fought by Gracie rules, where the fighter submitting must tap 3 times, Sakuraba tapped twice to fuck with Gracie to show him that he felt he was dominating the fight, which in my opinion he was.
He did it as a joke a couple times hoping that Gracie would let him go.
He fought Kimo before that and it really wore him out. They waited until the last minute but eventually decided not to fight. When Ken Shamrock heard, he immediately pulled out so he didn't have to take a "loss". He was apparently good to go but he didn't want to fight if it wasn't against Gracie, which was dumb because he would've easily won the tournament.
Royce kneed Saku in the groin a moment before, there was some sort of a pause, and Saku tapped him to show that he was ok. Both fighters confirmed this in interviews after the fight.
just because I use that expression doesn't make me a SDer
Phish was wondering what happened to Royce at UFC 3 when they threw in the towel before the match. Ken had already won his 2nd fight, but when Gracie couldn't fight against Harold Howard for his 2nd fight, Ken pulled out as well, which allowed alternate Steve Jennum to beat Harold Howard for the title.
So does anyone think Hughes could beat Sakuraba.......
Yes, someone thinks that Hughes could beat Sakuraba.
Huges would be a big favorite going into that fight
He'd probably beat him now, but I don't think he'd beat a younger Saku.
NO NO NO NO
is this a new way to insult mma fans
what the fuck.
