Been having pain in my knee for about the last week or so after finishing a 15K :wtc:

Been taking it easy (2x on the elliptical 30 minutes), but it doesn't seem to be going away, this was about 9 days ago.

Any suggestions? :o

If its "my-knee-kinda-hurts-but-i-know-i-didn't-damage-anything" then the joint and tendons are sore; stretch out the leg muscles, RICE principle if needed, and after a few days maybe do a couple sets of light squats

If its "my-knee-hurts-excessively" then maybe go see a doctor/physiotherapist

I'll do the RICE thing tonight :h5:

It only started hurting in the week leading up the race and after the race, never had a problem with it before

Potentially runner's knee.

Chondro-malacia patella.

A $10 word meaning cartilage forming behind the knee due to improper patellar tracking.

You've also probably got a little internal knee derangement.

Find a good PT or chiropractor to sort you out.

But in the meantime, start doing right legged 15 degree squats.

Vastus medialis is probably a little weak.

Thanks for the heads up, just starting researching and it seems I fit all the symptoms and causes.

Appreciate it, I was doing alot of running while doing no leg workouts/lifts, probably didn't help anything :o
