It is fuct outside. Heading home from the store now and nearly froze my penis offDid 3.5 miles on Friday when it was 8*F.
It was 0*F yesterday for a high, skipped running.
It will be -2*F today as a high, going to have to buck up and go out. If I don't I won't be running for at least a week. low single digit highs for the foreseeable future.
Everyone’s body is different but sustaining this approach will lead to more injuriesIm not talking crazy mileage but maybe like 10-13 only 3x a week. Or maybe 6-8 miles 4x a week. All depends on if I keep trying to dual focus with strength training or go back to running full time and training for a race maybe
This is my best finish for that distance.Ironman training begins today. I just finished a cycling block trying to get some baseline of fitness. It was only like 3x a week. Now I’m ramping it up pretty significantly. Long run today, 1hr20min and I didn’t need to stop. HR was high but not bonkers. Pace was meh, but that should improve. Cadence remained right at 180 avg. will need more runs like this to get my ankles/feet/quads accustomed to the pavement.
will be doing my swim later today. Race day is May 15th

Oh for sure, the last year or so I feel lik I’m pretty much always on the cusp of or recovering from some sort of injury My sister is also my PT and I basically cheat the system and have her running my program to keep me as close to the line as possible without hurting myself on a permanent basis. But I need to chill out a little bit for sure because it’s inevitable regardless of what I do to some extentEveryone’s body is different but sustaining this approach will lead to more injuries
Opinions on the training effect score ?45’ run this morning. I’m copying the training plan I used 3 years ago, with some minor adjustments. This was the workout today. As you can see, getting faster doesn’t mean you have to go HAM all the time. Usually it’s just a few hard efforts mixed into an easy jog
