A couple years ago I did a Turkey trot 5k and I think it was 17 at the start. Wore the shortest shorts I had. I remember my fingers and ears were fucking freezing

20:35 doe :naughty:

Pretty relaxed 1:15 run tonight with 10x30” pickups. Good to see HR staying better controlled and coming down nicely after the 30” efforts. It’s like 40 degrees out, wore some knee-high compression socks, my running shorts with compression liner, a sleeveless compression undershirt with a thicker EMS outdoor long sleeve activity shirt, and some running gloves. Stated pretty comfortable.

It has been below zero since Wed night, finally warmed up to 10*F today so I put 3.5 miles in. I couldn't find the motivation to go run when the highs were in the negatives.

This was a half marathon I did 3 years ago. It was supposed to be a training run, but when I got to the end I realized I was within reach of a new PR :dunno:

Fuark. Ran with a friend that I’ve trained a lot with in the past. Haven’t trained with him in a while. He said it would be an easy 1:30 run. I figured if it was easy, I could hang. He recently finished back to back marathon training blocks and his 2nd race he finished 3h25m. So his “easy” was not easy for me. Didn’t tickle.

I’m only getting in maybe 20-25 a week lately but weather has been amazing. Took an old route today, looking forward to the mountains greening up soon

Just did a 5k every day last 5 days. Running in Altra Escalante 2.5's and they are SO comfortable

I have a pair of Escalante 2s that I usually just use to bum around or walk the dog or whatever, used them the other day for an impromptu five miler and could not believe how nice it was after a while of only running in Brooks. I’ve worn them a couple times since but I need more arch support so unfortunately altras aren’t really in the cards for me long term

so decided to be not so fat anymore and joined OTF. Been running fine in my on cloud X shoes I've had for a while. i do have patellofemoral pain syndrome in both knees but the left especially. Decided to mix it up some with some cloudsurfers and cloudswift shoes and found my knees hurt a lot worse after wearing those. Would a shoe with more support really make my knees hurt more than a shoe with neutral support?

Are you taking long strides and landing on your heels? Or are you landing on the balls of your feet?

How long have you been running? When I first started jogging at 260lbs, it took about 3-4 months before the knee/ankle pain went away.
Even after a 10 min slow jog, I'd have ice my knees and sometimes rest a week before running again.

i mean i've never been an avid runner, but i've been jogging off and on for the last 20 years. i started at 230, at 220 now. As far as where I'm landing I haven't been paying attention.

you should start paying attention or that pains going to be the least of your issues
