13 ft elevation gain fuck youFuark. Ran with a friend that I’ve trained a lot with in the past. Haven’t trained with him in a while. He said it would be an easy 1:30 run. I figured if it was easy, I could hang. He recently finished back to back marathon training blocks and his 2nd race he finished 3h25m. So his “easy” was not easy for me. Didn’t tickle.

Just did a 5k every day last 5 days. Running in Altra Escalante 2.5's and they are SO comfortable
so decided to be not so fat anymore and joined OTF. Been running fine in my on cloud X shoes I've had for a while. i do have patellofemoral pain syndrome in both knees but the left especially. Decided to mix it up some with some cloudsurfers and cloudswift shoes and found my knees hurt a lot worse after wearing those. Would a shoe with more support really make my knees hurt more than a shoe with neutral support?
i mean i've never been an avid runner, but i've been jogging off and on for the last 20 years. i started at 230, at 220 now. As far as where I'm landing I haven't been paying attention. Are you taking long strides and landing on your heels? Or are you landing on the balls of your feet?
How long have you been running? When I first started jogging at 260lbs, it took about 3-4 months before the knee/ankle pain went away.
Even after a 10 min slow jog, I'd have ice my knees and sometimes rest a week before running again.
you should start paying attention or that pains going to be the least of your issuesi mean i've never been an avid runner, but i've been jogging off and on for the last 20 years. i started at 230, at 220 now. As far as where I'm landing I haven't been paying attention.
