You're quite the artist. This is actually badass, and fitting the theme I'm shooting for in my next house.

I appreciate everything! Again, sorry for such a late thread. Like many others, it's been a scramble the last few months. Thank you so much!

I didnt have as many pics from building the painting as I thought but:

The spot teaser pic i posted on OT is circled here :

Since you're a Mercedes guy I wanted to find a way to include the logo in the background:

Layering up the "grunge" style layers, gold "ATL" added:

And a detail shot of the grid I spraypainted in and "grime" added to the solid color lines:

It was a lot of fun making and tbh is one of my favorite pieces that I've made... not gonna lie it was hard actually giving it away.

The layers of the painting...holy shit, it just got that much more amazing. Seriously!
I'm truly glad you liked it. About halfway through while I was doing the grungy layers I started to doubt how it would turn out , but it ended up more or less how I was hoping...

I kind of wanted to fuse the grungy look that my paintings usually tend toward with a more color block type design that was typical of mid century modern art since you said you liked mid century modern architecture. :o

This was one of the main inspirations I used--I liked the more muted shades of basic colors that were used.

And this is spot on style. One of my fav homes in the city just came back on the market. This would fit it perfectly. https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/1172-W-Wesley-Rd-NW-Atlanta-GA-30327/35915244_zpid/
