Few quick picasa conversions
Nice pics as always Viper I really like the Swordes(sp?) and the Groomsman jumping.
What kind of fisheye is that?
Those were really cool! Looks like a happy couple and a nice wedding.
thanks, it was fun, but the sun did not cooperate
it was a sigma 8mm. never used a fish before, and it was between that and the canon 15, but since I already had the 16-35, decided to go all out. didn't kow it was gonna be so circular though
yeah, it was intresting to say the least. when the horse is a ring bearer and theres a horse drawn carraige, you know its not traditional to say the least.
yup, crazy stuff. rented it and a quantum turbo battery. would reanted the 85l, but they now require full value deposits instead of like $100.
we used it on the film camera too for some chromes. those are gonna be intresting
Where did you rent it from?
Lookin good. What else are you going to do to edit them? Any soft focusing/smoothing skin type work? Maybe something to give them a little more 'pop' as they say?
yeah, i dunno exactly yet. probably more of a glow soft focus, but some will depend on what they want. all they wanted were some B&W and some fisheye shots, so they're pretty easy going.
these were straight from raw via picasa. too lazy to open up photoshop and ACR
the mom just said "bill me"
they want a full album, atleast 1, but probably 2 or more
lots of big prints, and tons of small ones, and a dvd slideshow, so some of it is still up in the air.
but I saved them like $2500 when I sold them a home theather package, so between loving me and this beign their only daughter, they'll basically pay whatever it takes
normally its like 1500 for all day, my wife as an assistant, website, slideshow, print credit. Then more for a full album and prints. and if they want another shooter than goes up too
@ jumping shot
that is the first time I have ever seen a fish eye used at a wedding.
the fish isn't my cup of tea, but they asked for it, though I think it was becuase the wedding planner told them too
Thats in downtown seattle right?
I heard they don't have much of a selection for nikon dx
yeah, off of mercer st exit then on republican
looks pretty complete to me, but I dunno shit about nikon gear
Nice. You mind me asking who you are using for your albums?
Novelty lens. I use mine for maybe 15-20 shots out of 1000.
though that site is wholesale pricing, so find the generic and show that pricing to the couples.
some more. the renisance brand ones are my personal fav
You get any requests for coffee table books or are brides still asking for the traditional albums?
they want the traditional album , but using the largest mattes and doing PS work to give a coffee table type feel to the actual page, not just a 4x6 matted on a page
Wow, They must have updated it since I last saw it, I need to give them a call on a lens for this weekend for ALMS portland, Did you just do a walk in and rent it?
if you know what you want and when, call ahead, but it seemed that they mostly rented out lighting stuff, didn't see many lenses walking out the door
I called thursday afternoon for friday pickup, have till monday at 10 for 1 day charge
if they asked for a fish and it was me, i would have gone with the canon one to fill the frame better. I am sure you can work some magic though
