Ain't that some shit
Was the woman ill from drinking for from some other reason? I assume from drinking. Let's make certain we protect the privacy of public drunks.
"The lady concerned was entitled to her privacy and not to have a passing stranger take a photograph," said the sheriff
umm... no she's not. there have been several high profile cases here in the UK recently regarding photography and 'privacy' when in a public location all of which have found that, frankly, you dont have any. I wonder how many companies whose CCTV would have recorded her being 'unwell' are also going to be charged?...
That's why I find street photography so difficult. The only way to do it is a small discreet camera like a rangefinder and Leicas are expensive.
P&S are too slow.
You're fair game when you're out in public.
Fuck that noise. I'm perfectly within my rights to just take random pictures of people whilst they walk the street. If they don't like it...go somewhere else.
So gay - how can you have an expectation of privacy in a public place...
People are just worried what you're going to do with the picture.
