i just set up my 2 computers to my wireless router, any tips or info on how to make it secure?
which router do you have? For starters you can turn on enctyption and also only allow only the MAC addresses from your two computer to communicate with it. The router should have some interface which will allow you to configure these settings.
i have the d-link dl-614+ router. i just have the 2 comptuers set up to get on the net for now. i havent set up my network yet to transfer files etc. i dont know how to do that
802.1x and EAP authentication, or EAP-Cisco with a RADIUS server.
Oh wait, it's a D-link.
come on someone can help me here
Do the MAC addy thing and have the WEP encryption set up. Other than that you're done.
You might also consider not using DHCP and setting your router to a non-default IP. That would help a little if you're paranoid.
