When are you getting here? I just got back from someplace bad and I have the rest of the day off
i'm here....in pad 14....i can't go outside the wire til may 1st...stupid bn rule...14 days in country before leaving the wire
It's a good rule. Soak up every ounce of info you can before you start your missions.
If you're able to do it, go through the 5-day Iron Claw route clearance course. You'll be able to go out with us after completing it!
Yea, i'm soaking up everything....i didn't finish EOD school so i doubt they'll let me do the 5 day course...i'm w/ a BSB that does various missions around the AO.
No - the course is designed for anyone that will be going on a RC mission - no matter what level of training/experience they have. Any Joe on the FOB can take the course. But it is an an absolute requirement. We had a General do a ride-along with us once. He had to take the course first.
You'll probably need to focus on your own shit first, but keep it in mind for if/when you want a break or change of pace.

I bet you are. Email sent.
In for taste as well. This is gonna have to be added to the list of things troops want in their care packages!!!
they sell those at the wal-mart here. I tried one and wasn't too impressed.
more details please
After a few months with no options for hot coffee while on missions, you'll beg for something like this. I popped one that was sent to me on a cold night in January while on route and it was like the angels started singing and the heavens opened wide and God himself looked down and smiled on me.
5 minutes? but i'm thirsty now!
Picked a couple up from the clearance shelf ($1 each) at Wally World today, will give them a try this weekend at my FTX.
The only thing I didn't like about them is the amount of coffee you get. About half of the bulk of the container is the heating portion.
you haven't made your bag of joe from the MREs yet?
Seems to be blocked from here just like everything else.
Sounds neat though I guess.
The hot chocolate goes for 5 for $5 here. Me and the wife love it. Boggled everybody at work.
Taste is smooth and creamy (hot chocolate). Still in for trying the coffee though. I can see where this stuff would be awesome out in the AOR. HUA.
that is an awesome price!
