I was bored and felt like playing with my camera and lights
so thats what you look like
woodyharrelson.jpg and dolphlungren.jpg
right eye gets lost, looks like a mistake.
should I lighten it up a little bit
gonna make bank man
I wouldn't because that would just end up killing your contrast. It's not so much the lack of light, but rather the direction of the light. Play w/ the direction of the light and proximity of your reflector.
I would have gotten it to the side of me more but there is a shelf and a wall about 2 feet or so just out of frame on the left, there wasn't much room for my umbrella
and another wall a couple of feet to the right that was giving me a lot of bounce/fill that I didn't want
tape a white sheet of paper to a light stand and place it just to your left and front. It will create a nice catch light in your eye and help to fill in the shadow.
Oh, and you really could be Woody Harrelsons twin.
I'll try that next time
did you use a gobo to achieve that half lit look?
edit: why the hell did I put bogo? .... ugh.
no I had an umbrella on camera left and a bare flash in the garage
