is this the same stuff?
not exactly. there is a very big difference between powder (cake) and oil extracted sesamin. Both with respect to uptake and isomer content.
I take CLA right now, will this stack well or should i only take one or the other?
how about consuming oil directly?
evidence in humans is lacking, in mice there is evidence that stacking is beneficial.
however, generally dont reccomend CLA because single isomer products are still not available.
if you mean uncapsulated oil extract, the issues are still the same. if you mean plain sesame oil, there is only the tiniest fraction of active in that.
so the powder is better? by how much?
but is it worth the $17?
except its a suppository (the button says so)
there is no data to compare. All of the research uses cake extract (powder).
however since episesamin is the more potent isomer and its presence is cake is much higher (fully half) that alone is significant. the impact of saturation in lipid (oil) is not determined, though given its character one can expect impact on both actual uptake as well as point of plasma uptake (which will affect metabolism)
if oil were as good AF would be using it, the oil extraction raw material is significantly cheaper as are softgels.
as a note- Sesapure is 120 capsules, not 60.
I had to concentrate while reading that post. thanks.
