Well, it has arrived -- my H&K MK23. I'll admit, I was quite nervous about getting this gun due to its size. I'd never held one, I'd never seen one in person; however, I had seen pictures, and it seemed almost as big as a Desert Eagle (which I have held and is way too big for my hands). I was honestly worried this thing would be too large, but I figured, what the heck -- it's supposed to be a helluva gun, so why not jump on the bandwagon since they're no longer produced; a collectors item it will become. So, anyway, here it is. The grip is not too large, even with the Hogue mounted on it. My Tactical .45 was somewhat on the large side and could barely get my fingers to touch when I gripped it. With the MK23, my fingers still touch. Not too shabby... It came with the nice little camo case, 4 mags, three sets of sights, all paperwork, and some o-rings. Nice little package if I do say so myself. On the way is a Safariland US Property marked tactical thigh rig, a drop accessory rig, numberous magazine pouches and an extra mag. With the USP as an anniversary gift, the Tactical .45 and its goodies last month, and now this -- well, all I gotta say is that life is good. (Not too good though b/c the wife put a halt on the gun purchases for a while.) Hopefully, I can talk to the Sheriff soon to see how he'd view a suppressor.
