I went to the rua brothers seminar yesterday. Shogun gave me a "nice job" on a couple of the techniques and when Ninja put me in a front figure 4 choke I felt the vertebrae in my neck pop around, and he wasn't even really squeezing yet. I didn't ask for help on the other submissions after that. Their clinch work was awesome. Most people I've seen teach you to cup both hands one on top of the other on the crown of the head. Shogun and Ninja would cup one hand on the crown, and the other hand would hook the wrist of the first hand, making the forearms pinch the neck much better. Their clinch escapes were much easier to do than than some of the other techniques I've seen. Shogun showed us some of his fancier moves like that inside leg kick to right high kick that he did on Rampage and all those stomping guard passes. I was surprised to find that they weren't that big. On tv I get the impression that Shogun is massive, but really he just looked like a regular, somewhat buff dude. I was a good 1-2 inches taller than him. It was definetley worth the 60$, I was pissed at myself for not bringing the camera.
