suse installed with Xwindows will be slow in a 380mhz, it MIGHT detect your card. The wireless stuff isn't really normalized in distro's yet.

how masochistic are you? i installed freebsd 4.5 (5.2 is out now) on a laptop with linksys wireless card and it worked great, but the config is ... involved. i don't know how hardware support is on suse, but i would definitely check that before selecting a distro.

SuSE is amazing! Fasterest, easiest linux install I have ever done. I highly recommend it to anyone right now. Once i finish my testing I'm going to be switch all my desktop systems over to it.

I've only used wireless on RedHat (7, 7.3, 8, and 9), but I've had no problems.
