22 dedicated upper or 22 bcg?
an ar dedicated to being a 22lr, so probably a full 22lr upper that i'll modify
i hate the hand guards on the CMMG full upper though, i want rails
get the CMMG BCG
don't they have a special 22lr barrel too?
I'd prefer a GSG5 to my .22 AR kit. GSG feels alot lighter while the AR feels clunky just to shoot some .22's.
if it were me i'd get a dedicated upper. then you dont have to worry about twist rate or carbon in the gas tube (yes i know you can shoot .223/5.56 after and blow it out)
this 22lr upper is super light
though there's no where to put a bipod or iron sights or a front sling on it
you could get a different hand guard
if i was gonna do an AR15 with a dedicated 22 upper i'd probably just put a sling and an airsoft T1 clone on it.
how do i take off the hand guard that's on there already
what brand are they?
If it's GSG vs. dedicated .22 AR I'd vote for the AR.
If it's a different .22 you want in general, I'd vote for a 10/22.
I've heard lots of good things about the M&P .22LR
i've heard they are pure SHIT
The M&P? Or are you thinking of the awful Colt branded ones?
And super overpriced. Nice upper though.
Is it the colt ones? Are they not the Umarex ones? Or is M&P different?
