Sorry for the n00b question - I did search but I didn't find what I was looking for (OT search does suck though and I also suck at using it). Anyway - I just started going back to the gym and I have a question about lifting when you're sore. Obviously, the first few times working an area of the body are going to kill me in terms of being sore since I haven't been for a few years. Once I get back into it I know the answer will be different but I'm just starting so I'm afraid of doing damage if I push too hard (I still have old injuries that flare up every once in a while). For example, last week I worked out my chest for the first time since coming back and I was sore as fuck for 3 days - I could barely lay there without feeling like shit. So I took a couple of days off - was that right or should I have soldiered through it after 1 day off? TIA.
