No cliffs. Fucking read it.
good stuff. My fathers anniversary for passing is rite around the corner. Feb 6th.
If you take the rule that people write more the worse they feel and write less the better they feel, then obviously this guy's feeling a great loss. Still, it's a lot of words, most of them unnecessary. I think the best line in it was this, quoted from one of the letters he received:
“I am very sad that he is gone, but very happy that he lived.”
That's all that really needs to be said about any good person; the rest is just detail that matters only to those who were there at the time.
people die, get over it.
i didn't cry even once when my dad died, because there's no point to it. there were a hundred things to take care of, none of which involved crying.
QFT. It doesn't take time and effort to celebrate the life instead of mourning the death, it takes a change in mentality. If he was such a good person, be glad you got to spend as much time as you did with him, instead of crying about how you won't get more. I never did understand why people would get sad when they think about the "good old days" -- they actually had good old days! Some people didn't get to have good old days. What's to cry about? It's selfishness, nothing more.
It's easy to spot the people who are going to spend lots of time on psychologist bills later in their lives.
If you're reading that article and inferring the death of the Guru is the focus, the collective IQ of WMD has dropped in the fucking toilet.
or, you know, i don't know who the hell Col. Cooper is
now that i've googled him, i'm considering more than a rudimentary skim, but from what i've read so far, this is a lot of lamenting...
so yah, i won't read it. i will however read his wikipedia article
Cooper was an immeasureable contributor to shooting and defense today and always seemed like he the kind of well educated and well rounded man that is a dying breed today.
Subforum ban for being a fucking tool. Don't spout off about a legend if you don't know who they are. Idiot.
Hmm, it seems the quality of WMDers seems to be dropping as well... I guess if it isn't an AR/AK/Glock/870 accessory thread, the response is "tl;dr"
I'll bet you're just as useful in real life.
Point of the article --------
