Sent back a lens (cheap 70-300 4-5.6 DG Macro) for repair on Monday afternoon. The focusing was broken and it just whirred and vibrated but didn't move.
Received an email on Tuesday saying that they had accepted the item for repair. Today (Thursday afternoon) I got a knock on the door and it's back! 3 days... that's mental
They even cleaned everything, tightened the zoom ring (no zoom creep any more) and the focusing even seems faster.
I have a 10-20 with glitchy focusing that I didn't want to be without for weeks, but I'm definitely going to send it in for service/repair now since it only takes a few days
