I just ordered a Tamron SP AF28-75/2.8 XR Di LD to replace my Canon kit lens and now thinking of my next lens to replace my Canon EF 75-300mm f/4.0-5.6 III. I have been seeing good reviews on the Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 EX DG APO HSM (B&H $789.00), as in it takes just as sharp of a pic that the Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L USM (B&H $1139.95) does and the same focus speed. Is the Sigma a good lens and is it worth saving $350.00 of the Canon L? The Sigma seem to be more compact and not as long as the Canon too. I actually like having a black lens on a black camera also.
