what is there to expect?
you make a person, and you live their life. just like the other two.
i never really played the other two
It's like playing with virtual barbie dolls.
I played it for about a month, then I realized I could just do everything I'm telling my little fake people to do, and be a better person for it.
So, I don't have it installed anymore. Is worlds better than the previous sims though, if you're into that kind of thing.
The funnest part is building your house.
After that, well, it's pretty boring.
Things you can do in-game:
Get a Job
Use exercise equipment
Send your kids to school
Repair broken shit around your house
Walk to town to buy groceries and/or books
Upgrade stuff around your house to better stuff
Cook 3 meals a day, less if your character has a job
Read books (Which you'll have to in order to get the skills you need)
Make sure your character has all its needs filled before going to work and getting to your ride for work on time.
Invite neighbors over and begin your difficult task of managing your available time, when to go to work, when you can call friends, when you can invite them over, etc, if you fail to see your new friends enough they abandon you, if you see some too much other friends see that and don't like it... lots of drama there.
Complete "Missions" and "Jobs" in town like speaking at the museum between a certain time period or finishing a piece of artwork and bringing it to the art museum before the time is up. This is seperate from your day-job.
Pretty much that on a repetitive cycle.
So do you have your sims sit on the computer for hours a day?
I get bored of Sims really fast.
I enjoy the sims, though I think I may have Enjoyed the sims 2 just a little bit more.
Thought I think it was because I liked Nightlife, and the Business one.
the only interesting thing apparently about the sims 3 is the expansion pack that allows you to go exploring the world. watched my girlfriend explore a mummy tomb yesterday.
Some one here had a picture of their Sim with a guitar permanently attached to their chest, named Guitar Hero.
That made it seem awesome.
When the first Sims game came out I must have literally lost months playing it. Shit was so addictive despite being fucking terrible. It would take my Sims like 2 hours just to eat breakfast then they'd be late for work always ended up cheating to get fuck loads of money and build baller houses then try to get my sims to copulate with the neighbours
was fun for a week
i made my dad drive back to BJs wholehouse to buy the game for me the day I saw it
I'm a sociopath, I create ornate lives and everything for my sims, and then kill them, used to have headstones in the backyard. After about 50 I decided to take up Civ games instead
LOL I just watched my girlfriend do that a couple days ago....
i used to grief in sims online
I bought it when it came out, played it for a few days, and haven't touched it since. I bought it for my wife but she hasn't had the time to even try it yet.
The sim creator is pretty cool, and I like the fact that you can interact in real time with everyone in the city.
I thought the Sim 3 was pretty lame. I bought it for my Mac because it was the most entertaining looking game Best Buy had that was Mac compatible.
I've played it for maybe 2 hours. Once your house is built the game is pretty pointless. I have to clean, work, eat, shit-shower-shave and entertain myself i real life how is that fun to do digitally in a game?
What, exactly, did you think you had to do in Sims 3?
Its great if you're a 12 year old girl
not bad so far except that shit takes so long, takes like 3 hours to take a bath
