Like the title says. I never shoot it so I have no idea if I was doing it right.
I think you need medium format to truly capture the essence of skateboarding ... with out you have no chance of reaching Evan status
but you do have the evan angle down
You also need 12-year old subjects.
I think it looks pretty damn good. Have you ever picked up a Skateboarding Magazine ? They're all so fucking incredible with lighting .
hahahaha. If I never had to shoot skateboarding again, I'd be fine with it. I'll leave it up to the pros.
Thanks. I've seen SOME shots, but I really dont like skateboarding all that much. It's pretty boring unless the rider is having a great session or its a competition.
I wanted to stay away from the cliche super wide angle stuff, and yet still shoot it wide enough to show the lip, the air, and the landing.
I really dont know why the guy didnt want me to shoot during the day. it would have been much better. and those guys in the mags are awesome.
Hey thats chino, fun park..but that guy is grabbing stink bug, which is ugly.
when you grab between your legs when you do a frontside air, its called stink bug because it looks like you are farting.
