Fucking finally!

Too bad I only just ordered my USB kit yesterday. I thought I had fucking ordered one from the UK the day before they started shipping, but alas, I did not.

Limited to 16GB per USB slot. So you could just use a flash drive, no need for a HDD.

There are currently 3 different types of Slim drives...

Lite-On 9504 (April 2010-July 2010)
Lite-On 0225 (July 2010-Dec 2010)
Hitachi 0500 (Dec 2010-Current)

You will need the Xecuter X360USB kit. Another $60 to spend. I also got the Probe v3 just in case, although my Probe v2 is still alive an kicking. My original Probe v1 crapped out after about 3-400 drive mods...

Another thing I just read, apparently the next dashboard update is going to prevent ALL games not patched to AP2.5 from working.

Apparently the LiteOn 9504 Slim doesn't require the X360USB kit. Only the 0225 and 0500 may REQUIRE it. I still haven't seen a tutorial yet, nor have I had a chance to try it on my two Slims yet. Looks like so much fun opening up the Slims...

Any idea how to hook the 360 drive up to the PC?
(I have always paid someone to do this, but I want to do it myself)

You'll have to buy a VIA SATA connector which is about $20, and that's about it. Then you'll need to find a tutorial to read through.

I cant just connect a SATA cable from my PC to 360 Drive?

It might work, but not all on-board SATAs recognize 360 Drives. You can try it first though and maybe it'll work fine.

Yeppers. The 0225 requires the 360usb. I have a ck3 pro with VIA RAID Card and it won't read the 0225. That sucks. I guess I should order it now before the 0225 flash is released.

Order from XConsoles, they're here in the US. I got mine shipped in 3 days.

What new tools do i need to take apart slims? I havent really broadcasted to my buds that i can mod these until i have all the equipment ( like with the old 360 models i had a toolkit with the switchblade that opened them, a socket set for all the screws ( as for the ps3/wii/etc ) and the xecuter chip, probe, and sata card .

So now we need a new xecuter chip, the usb one, as well as a new probe? My old one has just about bit the dust anyways.

From the looks of the thread though it looks like the slims are a bitch to open. Anyone got some tips.

Picked up a slim 4GB tonight and it's LOT # 1114x so i'm assuming its a 0225 drive

There's nothing out there right now for it right?

Can somebody link a tutorial? I found one in another thread but the link was dead
