Anyone know if it is possible to send an email to cingularme.com and have it forward the email in the form of a text message to your cell phone?

For instance, if your number is 609-555-5555 you would send an email to [email protected] and a text message would get fired off to your cell.

I tried sending one to myself but no luck.

i think that only works for Verizon, but i'm not positive. i think each of the major providers have a different extension after the @.

i know my coworker has a different one and he has at&t.

the best way to find out, is just to send a text message to your email addy. the first part of the addy should be your phone number... but you'll need to test to figure out exactly what the last part is. thats what i've done in the past, but i dont keep track of what other carriers extentions are... other than Verizon being @vtext.com

Cingular is [email protected] But I come to find out if I shut off outgoing text messaging I can't receive them either.

I email a friend on their cingular phone all the time... its [email protected]

It used to be cingularme.com, but then they changed it around, and it doesn't work all the time if you use cingularme.
