Anyone joined? One just opened up by me but it seems really small?
I have no idea what you are talking about. WTF is Snap Fitness? A chain gym? Quality of individual chain gyms varies widley.
Yes, hence why I asked...their site makes them seem good but their gym just looks so damn small...I might just do the free trial:
it is 24hrs which I like
Unless someone here is a member of that location their exepreinces are pretty worthless. Since they are new you should be able to talk them into a 3-5 day free trial which would be good. Keep in mind that Jan-March is normally packed as fuck and not a good indicator of traffic for the entire year.
Yea thats what I fucking hate...I dont like working out with other people around me but I really have no other choice, especially around this time of year
I drive by one every day.
looks like shit. Tons of cardio, 500 sq ft, no squat rack in sight and minimal plates. Womens gym.
oh and it's been open for like 6 months here and I FINALLY started seeing people there last month. It was literally a ghost town for months.
yeah thats what Im not sure of...it only looks like it has 3 tread mills and free weights lol....so I was like is there more in back or what?
Never been in but I go to the thai place thats in the same strip mall so I cupped up against the glass one day to see in and it wasn't much.
It might be a good place to start off if you intend to "get back into it". Definitely not a place that most F+N'ers would train at though.
It would be a great place to do cross fit.
See if there's a Gold's Gym near you.
Typically a good gym.
There's one by me, its small as hell but open 24 hours. I think the dumbbells only go up to 60
My GF worked out there for a while last year. I went in once to check it out- as has been stated already, VERY small, I mean, fucking crazy small (the one I went to anyway), not much of anything, few dumbbells (yes, they stopped at 60), one adjustable bench, etc. It was like the size of the weight room in my middle school... In all, probably a cool place for casual females- you do the math.
I workout there. I love it. It is never packed. They are franchises so the eize will vary. The one I go to have complete weights and at least 6 treadmills and ellipticals. For the money it is a good place to workout.
seems like more of a fitness-type gym than a weight lifting gym
good article in forbes for anyone interested in the franchise:
I go there now just because I'm home from school, but yes like everyone stated it is very small.
I go to one since it's across the street from me and 24 hours. I usually just do cardio there and I lift weights at home.
