Also, their SKS prices confirm what I have read elsewhere, that SKSs are getting more expensive.
original k98 > some hack job
They actually might not be converted, I think FN built them on a contract basis for Israel after the war. That's even better.
I'd still rather have a real k98 though, and its cheaper to shoot the real one. Only thing I'd want the .308 one for is if I wanted to turn it into a deer gun.
Dave, what's the price on an SKS from SOG?
edit: you can only tell if they have your 03 on file, and list you as a dealer. I assume you've done this
isn't .308 ammo expensive? no more surplus ammo available, right?
I love it when you fill my box.
I want a .308 Mauser. The historical irony is priceless.
And I prefer .308 to 8mm.
what did I miss, and how much is it going to cost?
That's Lend-Lend Lease Mosin-Enfield Mk. I 44
Seriously though, prowl on gunboards and surplusrifle, lots of truck guns available
Nobody seems to be letting go of SKSs for some reason.
And the ones that are going, are bubba'd up and going for way too much.
Right now on surplusrifle
Have two SKS 59/66 rifles that need new homes. Top rifle had cracked stock which I repaired. Believe lots of grenade launching caused cracks as there is no finish on launcher. It has a new gas valve (old one wouldn't cycle). All numbers match except magazine. Bore needs scrubbing.
Rifle two, bottom photo, is matching except magazine which has no number. New valve included with this rifle also though it currently functions. Current valve stuck (rust I assume) but working. Bore also needs scrubbing.
$115 each shipped to lower 48. Three day inspection.
No one posts bubbas there, they get reamed out
Well, I'm going to have to bubba it, because it won't fit in the truck, otherwise. But it's not bubba'ing for bubba's sake. It'll probably get a folding stock, that's it.
Don't you run into 922(r) problems if you start fucking with it?
Depends on what I do to it. I haven't looked at 922 with regard to surplus military arms, I was mainly concerned with imported sporting arms. (SAIGA)
I'll look into it.
