never went above 95% the whole time i've had it
is this normal?
According to iStat, mine is at 91%... my Macbook is about 7 months old...
93@ 8wks here
100% 5 months old
and mine was a floor model
3 months, still at 100%. however it is reading like 5288 for capacity, even though the battery is rated 5200.
i remember it being like 5400 on the capacity a month ago
How exactly accurate are these little programs though?
My macbook is 6 months old and it's registering only 4350 mAh and 83% capacity. I've gone through 71 load cycles.
25 months old and at 70%.. Since I dropped the thing and bent the charger it no longer recognizes that its plugged in even though its charging.....I want a macbook.
*bump* Should I be worried?
The programs just report the status from the battery's microcontroller or the pmu (not sure).
I have no idea how accurate that is.
Fairly accurate. The batteries keep track of this stuff to prevent things such as overcharging which would be baaad.
On the flip side, you have to take its word for it cause there isn't much you can do. I guess you could try recalibrating.
what is coconut battery?
yeah i might do that.
I just ran it on mine and this is what it says:
Current Battery Capacity 5359 mAh
Original Battery Capacity 5200 mAh
Battery cycles: 42
Age of your mac: 3 months
search for it...
100% at 14 cycles on my mbp, 3 months old. do you let it die before you plug it back in?
damn i only has 83% capacity...
but mines is 16 months old
After 14 months mine is at 68%
