CRO COPS BACK, YESSSSSS! lol
Kongo is dead.
Great to hear he is focused, bad news for his opponents.
I was uneasy at first, but he sounds sharp in the head again. Kongo better be training with some great wrestlers...
poor, poor Kongo
You shut your filthy mouth
Either get on Crocop's nuts like everyone else or GTFO.
WAR CROCOP, I hope he kills all 4 of his future opponents. Especially Gonzaga.
Mirko by Gogo
I hope he's back on track, if nothing else it sounds like he knows the ufc is serious bidness and he won't be walking through people with no adjustment to his training.
Mirko runs in cycles of having something to prove and being too cocky and not taking opponents seriously. People said he was washed up after the randleman fight and even when he fought Yoshida in the GP.
crocrop by rear naked choke round 2
Mirko at his best takes ANYONE currently in the UFC... The 1/2 assed Mirko that showed up for Gonzaga only takes 80% of them...
Very cool.....It will be great to see Mirko back in form....
Drag On thinks he's a rebel for just being a hater.
I'm surprised that Remy will help crocop out after how bad Mirko beat his ass in K-1
Crocop is always up and down. Don't you remember him saying he would retire if he didn't win the OWGP, and look how sharp he performed there!
As for the "weak grapplers" crocop faced: Josh Barnett (3X) Coleman, Randleman, Ron Waterman, Fujita. None of those guys are takedown slouches, or weak GNPers.
Lastly, the extra area of the cage will give him more freedom to stalk his opponents, and keep from being crowded. Mark Hunt can fill half the pride ring himself, if he had a big breakfast, and crocop couldn't get away from him. Not a problem in the extra-large UFC cage.
there is no possible way a cage is a benefit to a striker like Mirko. Stalking doesnt win fights, corneering someone does.
and being cornered/crowded leads to takedowns! Could you see someone do what Forrest did to Sick Dog in a ring?
it depends on who you're fighting. It's easier to get away from someone on the feet in the cage. Whether that's get away from their strikes or get away from their takedowns. I say it's an advantage to strikers because they have more room to run from the takedown, although it's harder to push some sap into the corner and wail on him. Crocop doesn't really need to nail guys with continual punishment though, he's just one-and-done.
