it was pretty high too, i was geting out of my truck so it fell like 4-5 feet. i havent heard it mooing for a while though, i think it fixed itself
oh and i think my case did i great job of protecting it
clownin on da macbook
what kind? can't hurt to have some protection. you know, from zee germans..
the first post is sad.
the rest of the thread is gold.
i was walking in my school's snowy parking lot and slipped yesterday with my ibook in my backpack. almost fell. then my feet were all wet and i almost fell down the stairs in the school. i thought yesterday was going to be the end of my ibook considering i lost all coordination.
i think the most damage my ibook takes is when i forget it is in my car and go drift around snowy parking lots.
I fell aspleep with mine on my lap the other night. I have an older Powerbook witht he round nonmagnetic power plug. Long story short when the lap top fell off of me it landed right on the power cord benging the shit out of it and the case. While it looks like hell it actually stays in place instead of falling out all the time. WOO...I guess....
Not long ago I was riding my bike to work with my macbook in my backpack.
Took a corner too fast in the rain and the wheels slid out from under me. The whole time my attention was on my macbook... not wondering if I was going to crash without injury.
I finally realized how bad it hurt once I got her started up and realized all was well
i know how you feel i dropped my macbook from about that height the other day, it was in my sweet as targus backpack though all secured in place and it was totally fine, i love that backpack i use it for school every day too
isnt there some bult in protection when it knows its falling it prepares itself for impact?
yeah the HD stops spinning, which is only an issue if its running....
lasers. it shoots the floor out from underneath continually until it detects something soft to land on.
and the hard drive stops spinning.
EDIT: i'm clearly too slow.
