And it makes me want to be Japanese Jesus fuck, what an incredible movie. It's kinda funny. During the final battle, I was thinking to myself how much it was setup and looked like the battle of Antietam in Glory. Then during the end credits, I saw Edward Zwick directed it and I was like no wonder. But yeah, wow. This is easily the best movie Tom Cruise has ever done. Hands down. In any case, I have a question. What were the rebels/Samurai and the regular Japanese army fighting each other over? Was it because the rebels didn't want to become Westernized? Or did the Emperor want to do away with the Samurai...and if so, why? Or am I completely off? Anyway, goddamn. I'm off to buy a kimono.
