actually, it's not that great period.
Still too expensive for that travesty.
Kokomo abort it right now and go for the good stuff.
PURE 100% UNADULTERATED MACROSS.
I'm a fan of Robotech. I just want you to know that. I own the Protoculture set and when I was stateside, I'd watch it regularly (Macross saga mostly). With that being said, I will also say this:
I AGREE WITH BABOYMO COMPLETELY.
I got this on Netflix and omg...
those better not be tears of joy.
xbox live was advertising the hell out of it. So who exactly made it, or how did it work since the original was a mixmatch of series? Did an American company write out the story and send it to Korea to be animated or something?
Exactly, it's not really an anime.
It's meant to be a continuation of Harmony Gold's Robotech storyline which is based on the first Japanese Macross series.
Robotech is a series comprised of 3 totally seperate animated series that aired in Japan in the early 80s. Carl Macek wrote/rewrote parts of the Macross saga (SDF Macross in Japan), then rewrote Southern Cross and New Generation (SDF Southern Cross Calvary or something and Genesis Climber Mospeada). All three stories largely follow the action and plots (Zentraedi, the Masters, Invid) but obviously dialogue was rewritten to reflect continuity from one series to the next. It was released in 1985 or 86 in the US and is now syndicated... sometimes.
The Japanese versions are:
Again, Southern Cross and Mospeada had nothing to do with Macross. The US version is Robotech Southern Cross and New Generation. Shadow Chronicles continues shortly before the end of the last episode "Symphony of Light".
On a personal note, it saddens me that Harmony Gold opted to use some busted ass CGI for Robotech: SC. As a Robotech fan, it is an eyesore, much more than Macross 7's delightful faggotry.
WHAT A FUCKING TRAINWRECK.
lol yune was totally ignored at the mworld convention
he had a few people watching
and dont forget this
Where are they getting the money to milk this shit over and over again?
