It's called "How to Become an Alpha Male" by John Alexander.

    It's another e-book .pdf thing.

It's got a lot of stuff about basing your happiness on internal factors instead of how much you get laid, how to appear confident, etc. I'm sure it's the same info rehashed as in all the other books, but for some reason this one is simple and easy to read. It's 159 pages long and the font seems kinda big so it's going fast.

    I read it.

    verdict: meh

Some helpful tips about eye contact and body language, but also lots of fakery and BS.

ed: oh and also crappy fitness advice

I just go by my rule of thumb.

If it makes you smile, do more of it.

Agreed. The fitness advice was fucking terrible. I usually skip over the fitness sections in books such as these.

i wanted to bump this because im reading this now and im very impressed by it. the author is mature and conveys his ideas well, without sounding too repetitious or preachy.

you know, I downloaded this and started to read it, and with many of these books I have checked out, I quickly become overwhelmed by the number of things you need to maintain, and I eventually give up with the mindset of: How can I really enjoy myself if I'm always too busy thinking about if I am acting like an alpha male in every thought, decision, and action I make. I guess I like the premise of becoming an alpha male, but I don't want to change who I am :(

oh, and if you keep doing what you've done, you'll keep getting what you've always gotten

ah, good but somewhat misleading advice. If you're 100% comfortable being a nerd, you're still not going to get much punani. Congruence and coolness are distinct.

also, Can anyone with a sub do me a favor and pm me the thread where I talked about identity, I liked my post but I can't find it now because i've lost the search abilities :wtc: :x:

some things are hard to change. also if you read too much and dont couple with being in the field you will get information overload and stay stuck in ur head.

certain behavoirs can change quickly. others have to be made into habits and that takes months.

deep down tho i think you do want to change a few things about who you are or you wouldnt be reading all this.

ARGHGHHG no. it's in the middle of some thread, i think I'm yelling at demonstits for telling some dude not to change who he is. search for the word "identity" in posts by me, i don't think there are too many. It's like 4 paragraphs long i think
